JOHN TULLIUS, PH.D.

John Tullius has taught highly rated intelligence and counter-terrorism classes at the Naval Postgraduate School since 2016. During his more than 20 years with the Central Intelligence Agency working in Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa, he oversaw critical coverage of major geopolitical events. He has led innovative applications of big data, social network analysis, geospatial tools, and other advanced methods to address complex intelligence problems.
John received his Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Oregon in 1997 and completed an Executive MBA at Georgetown in 2021. His published works have appeared in The Cipher Brief, Strategic Latency Unleashed, and The Conduct of Intelligence in Democracies.
JENNIFER LEE

With over three decades of experience in intelligence, national security, and organizational leadership, Jennifer (“Jen”) Lee currently serves as President of Operational Surveyors, where she leads strategic initiatives supporting classified and open-source intelligence (OSINT) efforts for U.S. Government clients.
Jen studied at the London School of Economics and graduated from UCLA with degrees in International Economics and International Relations/Political Science. She played for the UCLA Women’s Varsity Soccer Team. She speaks Hungarian, German, Polish, and Arabic.
KRISTIN WOOD

During her 20-year CIA career, Kristin Wood served in the Director’s area and three Agency directorates – analysis, operations, and digital innovation – leading a wide variety of the Agency’s missions in positions of increasing authority. She led OSC’s open-source IT and innovation efforts to extract meaning from big data. Ms. Wood was a President’s Daily Brief briefer for Vice President Cheney and his National Security Advisor.
Following her Agency work, Ms. Wood served as CEO at Gristmill Exchange (GME). She is currently the Co-founder and CEO of August Interactive, a gaming startup helping veterans recover from PTSD. She is a recognized thought leader for OSINT and was recently featured on an IC-wide panel to discuss future OSINT challenges.

John Tullius founded OpenIntel Analytics to help our most trusted foreign partners enhance their intelligence and operational capabilities.
During his CIA and private sector careers, John worked with intelligence and military services from over 30 countries and believes that effective partnering is based on building strong relationships, grounded in tailored training programs and side-by-side advising services to share best practices.
